Dear Parents/Carers
Official Opening
We would like to say thank you to all those who attended our Official Open Day and to the parents and friends that helped to run the stalls.
It was a very enjoyable day and the balloon event was very successful even though a lot of balloons initially got stuck in one of the trees.
However, by the end of the afternoon all of the balloons except for one had blown away.
Some of the balloons were found and returned from Epping and Colchester in Essex, Enfield and Hayes in Middlesex, Southgate and Whetstone
in North London, Ipswich in Suffolk. The furthest balloon was found in Schagen in The Netherlands.
The winner will receive £10 prize and Sienna who purchased the balloon will also receive £10 prize. Sarah Swest won the monkey,
Freya won the lovely cake and the sweet tombola was particularly enjoyed by all the children.
The full list of returned balloons are:
- No. 7 Hayes - Nikhitha
- No. 90 The Netherlands - Sienna
- No. 70 Ipswich - Sienna

Toys in the corridor
Please be aware that the toys along the corridor coming into pre-school do not belong to the Childcare setting and whilst the Owls Children Centre do not mind the children playing with any of the equipment while they are waiting to come into pre-school can you please make sure that they are all put back into place as some items have gone missing.
A few reminders
A mobile library visits every second Thursday approximately between 2.45 pm & 4 pm. It provides an ideal opportunity locally to borrow some
books for your children and don't forget we have a very good library in Farnborough where you can join, spend some time there browsing
around the books as well as borrow some.
We have just had a visit from Ginny from the Library who spent some valuable time with the children
who shared some lovely stories and action songs with her.
We also have story sacks if you would like to borrow one; they contain a book and a variety of other items to share with your children. Please
speak with a member of staff if you are interested.
Parent's rota
Don’t forget our parent's rota, we always welcome mums, dads and grandparents as well if they wish, to come in and share some time with the children and to see what we do. The rota is always on the door so just put your name on the date that is convenient for you or speak to a member of staff if you prefer.
Committee
We still need more people to join our committee. It is important that we have a full working committee otherwise we could be forced to close.
It really doesn't take up too much time and is not difficult to do. The more people who gets involved the less there is for each individual
to do.
Please have a think and consider giving up just a little bit of time to help us. If there are any parents or carers that are interested
in joining our committee or if you would like to know a bit more about it please speak to Sue or Debbie Jaques.
Thank you
