Dear Parents/Carers
This will be our last newsletter of the school year. We would like to start by thanking you all for your support over the last year, there has been a lot of changes happening and these will continue
over the summer weeks. The old pre-school room will be transformed in preparation for full day care. If you know of anyone who requires full day care perhaps you could drop our name and number to
them.
Bring a Bear Day – We raised £34.10 which has been sent to the charity to help sick and vulnerable babies. Thank you to those who supported it.
Mini-Olympics – We hope you agree that this was a success and enjoyed by all the children who took part. Thank you to those who have already returned their sponsor forms and money, it is much
appreciated. Those who have not yet returned theirs could you please do so as soon as possible. We have already raised nearly £200. We will put the final figure up as soon as we know it.
Outside play – The money we have recently raised will go towards more outdoor equipment. We think that you will all agree when we say the outside play area is much improved and the children are
getting so much out of the time they spend outside. In fact, on a nice day the children are outside the majority of the time and usually only come in for snack and the toilet. We are continuing to
work on the children's development in all areas and record their achievements, these activities can now also be enjoyed outside.
Children's Record of Achievement & reports – Over the next few days, staff will be approaching the parents of children who are leaving to go to school, to read and sign their child's report. A copy
of this report will go to the school with your child's Record of Achievement and a copy will be given to you with your child's folder before they leave. This will take a few days, so please do not
worry if your child's key worker has not spoken to you yet, we will get around to everyone in time.
Party time – We would like to invite all children to our end of term parties which will take place on the last day of term Wednesday 23rd July. This includes any children who do not normally attend
Wednesday sessions. The children will be taking part in games and enjoying party food. The times for these will be, morning session 9.00 – 11.15 am and afternoon session 12.45 – 3.00 pm.
On a final note, we would like to wish all those who are leaving us a very big good luck! at school and for the future. We look forward to seeing all our returning families in September and wish you
all a very good summer.
Thank you once again for all your support
Pre-school staff and committee.
