Childcare in Farnborough, Hampshire.
We started as Mayfield Playgroup approximately 20 years ago. About 11 years ago we registered with the Pre-school Learning Alliance and Ofsted and changed our name to Mayfield Pre-school.
Following the amalgamation of Mayfield Infant and Junior Schools and the change of name to Cherrywood Community Primary School, we also changed our name to Cherrywood Community Pre-school.
More recently, due to the opening of the Owl's Children Centre, we changed the structure of the setting to include full day care. We now cater for the education and care of children from the ages
of 0 – school age and changed our name to Cherrywood Community Childcare.
Cherrywood Community Childcare is committee run and is also a registered charity. The childcare setting is registered with Ofsted and is subject to their stringent inspections, as laid down by the
Children Act 1989. This enables us to obtain funding for the education of all three and four year olds (which comes into effect the term after their 3rd birthday).
