During the month of September, Hampshire County Council are running a dental programme to promote the health of children. The children will all be supplied with a toothbrush and there will be activities for the children.
Open Day
On Friday 18th September the children centre is holding an open day between 11 am & 2 pm. Miller's Ark Farm will be attending and children will be able to see and handle some of the animals.
Among other things there will be face painting, a bouncy castle, music, arts & crafts and refreshments.
The children that are attending pre-school that day will be taken out to see the animals but if parents would like to collect their children so that they can participate in the other activities
then they may do so.
Please come along and support the centre.
Photographer
Our usual photographer will be attending pre-school on Thursday 8th October to take photographs of the children. He is a very good photographer and we are always pleased with the results.
Topic for this half term
We are starting with the topic "all about me" and will be looking at the children's families, homes, clothes, favourite toys etc. Once we know more about the children we can plan for activities that they are interested in. We will also be looking at Jewish New Year, Dashain & Diwali.
General Information
Throughout the term we will be having visits from "Mad Academy" which is lots of musical activities and songs and the Farnborough Library. We will also be arranging other visits when possible,
e.g. Police Community Support Officers, Fire Brigade.
I would like to draw your attention to the parent's notice board which is situated outside our main entrance to pre-school. Please keep an eye on this as we put various
information and notices on it including key person lists, curriculum news, policies and other information.
Change of addresses
Parents who have returned from last year will find a form attached. Please take the time to fill this out and return it as soon as possible so we can keep our records up to date. There is also a new permission slip for photographs.
On a last note we would like to wish you all a happy and successful year with us. If anyone has any questions or concerns at any time please feel free to approach myself or any member of staff, we are always pleased to speak to you. If you prefer you can write any comments or suggestions down on the slip and put it in our box which are both situated in our entrance lobby.
Thank you
